This policy explains how SoundShelf, published by Simplebitz, handles information when you use the app.
Your music stays on your device
SoundShelf is a local music player. It may ask for standard Android permission to access your audio files or music library. Your library is read and processed locally on your device so the app can show and play your music.
SoundShelf does not upload your music to Simplebitz servers. It has no own backend for storing your library or music activity, and it does not collect your library for commercial purposes.
No account, ads, or own tracking
SoundShelf does not require an account. It does not use advertising, and it does not use its own analytics or tracking. Simplebitz does not sell personal data.
Information stored locally
Where applicable, library information, playlists, favorites, settings, trial information, and local app status are stored on your device. Removing SoundShelf data or uninstalling the app may remove that local information.
Google Play purchases
SoundShelf uses Google Play Billing to manage the optional one-time Lifetime purchase. Google Play may process the information needed to complete and restore purchases under its own policies. Simplebitz does not receive or store your complete payment-method details.
A Lifetime purchase can be restored through Google Play when applicable.
Android permissions and services
SoundShelf may use Android permissions or services strictly needed to access media and play audio. You can withdraw permissions at any time in Android settings; without the relevant permission, some library features may not work. Android or Google Play components may use connectivity when needed for their services.
