Support for SoundShelf

SoundShelf plays audio files stored on your Android device. It does not download or provide music.

Common questions

How do I allow access to my music?

When SoundShelf asks, allow the Android music or audio permission. If you declined it, open Android Settings, find SoundShelf under Apps, open Permissions, and allow access to music and audio.

How do I update my library?

Open SoundShelf and use its library refresh option if available. You can also close and reopen the app after adding files. Android may take a moment to index newly copied audio.

Why does a song not appear?

Check that the file is stored on the device, is not in a hidden or restricted location, and that SoundShelf has music/audio permission. Support for audio formats depends on Android and your device.

Which audio formats are supported?

Available formats depend on Android and the device’s media support. Some formats, Hi-Res capabilities, DACs, and Bluetooth devices may behave differently across devices.

How does the 7-day trial work?

The full app is available for 7 days. At the end of the trial, you can decide whether to make the optional one-time Lifetime purchase. There is no subscription.

How does the Lifetime purchase work?

Lifetime is a one-time purchase managed by Google Play. Prices, taxes, refunds, and payment processing follow Google Play’s terms and policies.

How do I restore a purchase?

Use the same Google Play account used for the purchase, make sure Google Play is up to date, and open SoundShelf while connected as required by Google Play. If the app offers a restore option, use it.

Google Play does not show a price. What should I do?

Check your connection, Google Play account, country and payment profile, then update Google Play and try again later. Pricing and availability are determined by Google Play.
